Mac OS X: Data Backup
I'm going to buy Mac OS X Panther this friday and I wan't to install it from scratch meaning format my computer before I install it but I need to back up the following things... Apple Mail, Safari Bookmarks, PostgreSQL Databases, and my Address Book.
How do I backup that data (where is it?) and I should assume restoring it would be as easy as copying and pasting it back to where it belongs. |

Search on "Archive and Install" on the Apple forums. Or, if you want to backup to another disk before you unwrap Panther, backup your /Users partition. Bookmarks, mail, preferences and whatnot is all in /Users/username/Library.
