moving data from Linux (Netatalk) to OSX: duplicate files
Hallo,
our aging Linux-Server running Netatalk is going to be replaced by a G3bw-Mac running OSX 10.3.
Now I found it's impossible to move complete directory trees to the new server. There are lots of filenames which differ from the *nix point of view (case sensitiv), but not for OSX (not case sensitiv). I tried copying only one small folder by hand, but it was a really time-wasting affaire. It'll be impossible to move all those Gigs of data folder-by-folder.
Every software I found on the net was intended to find duplicate files for a complete disk or a folder tree. And despite of that some of them have problems deleting invisible files. (I didn't try DFF which was mentioned in another thread here).
I just need those files which are duplicates residing in the same folder (just differing by capitals). I'm sure there must be some scripting solution to this problem, but I've only very limited knowledge concerning this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards.
