Network Configuration
Hi there,
I started installing FreeBSD on computer 1(WINDOWS XP). I am at "Network Configuration" I let automatically retrieve network configuration from DHCP server. All fields are filled up except "Host" which is left empty. Domain is: d1.il.comcast.net How do I find what the "Host" is? I have an additional PC connected to the same home router. |

I enter the fully qualified hostname here. For instance, if I like to name the machine "pokey", I would enter pokey.comcast.net in the host field and enter comcast.net in the domain field. Note that dhclient will set the hostname automatically everytime you start it up unless you tell it not to set it explicitly. See http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?....conf&sektion=5 for details.
