newbie wireless card
I'm using NetBSD 1.6 on a IBM ThinkPad A20m with a Linksys wireless card.
A newbie question: I need a script to setup the card on startup (set SSID, network name and WEP). The ones I've tried don't work! Thanks in advance Michael |

wireless card
I just set up my laptop with FreeBSD 4.8 and my Avaya (orinoco) card. wicontrol lets me set the card's ssid, etc., from the command line. I just put the entries in /etc/rc.local, and it works great.

For NetBSD, the equivalent command is wiconfig (wicontrol in FreeBSD). Useful links:
man page for wiconfig: http://netbsd.gw.com/cgi-bin/man-cg...+NetBSD-current Some sample scripts/commands: http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation...rk/wavelan.html
