hi,
i need help from u all.did anyone know how to fix this error: /kernel: pid 78583 (perl), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) this is on my log /var/log/message. thankz |

More details needed mate. No one can tell exactly what the perl program was doing from that message.

Might help to know what OS/kernel version you are running and a list of programs (especially those written in perl). The error message indicates that a perl script somewhere is burping and if you keep seeing it, that might mean it is being spawned by either a daemon or a cron job. The thing is that some programs written in C may spawn scripts written in perl (for example, Sendmail could run Mimedefang, which is written in perl), so finding the exact script that is burping could be tricky business.
