Question About Kernel Recompile

I'm new to FreeBSD and I recently recompiled my kernel following the FreeBSD online handbook and Greg Lehey's "The Complete FreeBSD". Everything seems to be working fine except on reboot I have the following messages in my dmesg.boot file:



Funny thing is I believe these are SCSI controllers and I commented these lines out in my kernel configuration file because I have an IDE only system.

I've search all over, but can't find the root cause of these messages. Does anyone know how I can resolve the issue that is causing these messages?

You might want to post your kernel config file here, so we can see what you have in it.

Mine was doing that, too, from when I cleaned all the junk I didn't have out of the kernel a couple days ago. Until now, I was too lazy to track it down (you inspire me!), but they're all listed in /boot/kernel.conf. Since all that was in there were the things causing the errors, I just killed the whole file. Seems to work okay, but I'm new to this BSD thing and tend to use my Windows approach of "delete what I don't understand" which has a much higher potential to screw me over here.

Post your kernel config (and maybe your kernel.conf, too) so the guys here can help.

Thanks for the feedback. Just as you said icrf, all the offending devices were listed in my kernel.conf (posted below). Does anyone know why they are listed there and if it is safe to removed them?
