How to run a script at a given time
I have a script that needs to be run daily. It is called sophos.sh and is used to update our Anti Virus software.
How can I tell if this script is getting run daily ?
How do I make it run daily if it sin't already ?

I think that you shall use cron for the job. I don't know much about it, but there are tons of information about the subject on the Internet.

Check your cron log.

Say 01:50 PM daily:
50 13 * * * /full/server/path/to/sophos.sh
There is an active sample of root's crontab at /etc/crontab so go read it before I have to say RTFM to you next time.
