small probs whit ssh and proftpd
hey.
is it possibel too have ssh and proftpd too write the login messeges to a file instead of the console screen?? / Martin Soendergaard |

I'm not sure what login message that you are talking about. I believe you need to stop the login notice to console. If that's the case it's rather simple. You just need to remove auth.notice from the following line in /etc/syslog.conf:

*.err;kern.debug;auth.notice;mail.crit /dev/console Offending portion in bold. BTW, syslog.conf is one of the top 10 essential taks you must first configure before doing anything else. |
