Uninstalling software via the terminal
I am in search of a method in which to successfully remove an
application and all of its associated files as well via the terminal.
I am running OSX and do not wish to use utility software to do so.
Any suggestions?

With Mac OS X, you don't need to use utilities or the Terminal to uninstall an app. Just drag the app to the trash. It's really that simple.
