is it possoble to approach other website owners via email to advertise on a website without creating a flare up(spam)--- I have just launched my website and would like to sell both text link ads and banner advertsing on my website.

Nelly, my suggestion would be to not focus energy on acquiring advertisers -- but acquiring visitors for you own site.
Once your user base gets large, the advertisers will find you ![]() Work to make you site the authority in your topic. Then when an advertiser is looking for sites in that topic to place ads on, they'll find you through the search engines (since you'll be an authority site, you'll rank nicely). Just my 2 cents.

as your site becomes affiliated with certain issues, then those are the people who will visit your site, and from there you have the advertisers interested. Until then there's no bargining position for you. cheers sf2k |
