Alcohol-Based Site Advertising on the Web?
Good afternoon everyone, long time lurker, first time member/poster here.
I am about to launch a user-driven college party website, DrunkenScholar.com After setting this up, it seems that I made one massive oversight - Google Adsense (and many other networks) do not allow the promotion of beer or alcohol. Does anyone know of any non-adult, text-based advertising networks that allow alcohol-based content? I've signed up and contacted Clicksor, 3fn, Targetpoint, and Adbrite, but am not expecting good news. This also begs the other question - how do people who sell alcohol or related products do their advertising on the web? I've searched around but haven't found zip. If nothing works out, I'll have to go with something like AdultFriendFinder, but I'd rather not do that. Thanks everyone! -berto |

Try out facebook, however I am not sure whether you can be able to promote alcohol related site there or not.

Yeah, I am going to make a Facebook app, but they don't have an ad network to do ads on my site.
It turns out that Adbrite is cool with alcohol, so long as everything's legal. My terms of service state that you have to be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction to post content, so I should be good, and will moderate if Adbrite says so. So they get my first shot, and I hope it goes well |
