Authorize.Net

Im building my own site for our family business and we are trying to get a merchant account setup with this company called BankCard USA. They have something called "RT Ware" thats basically Authorize.Net in disquise. In order to sign up you have to agree to this 13 page contract/Agreement letter. I dont understand half of the words they put in there, which makes me incredibly nervous! Right now we are just using some paypal stuff and it works okay but there are A LOT of people in the world of online shopping that wont even consider shopping if a site uses paypal. I know a few people personally that have been ripped off. So I cant blame people for not wanting to use it. I just wondered if anyone had any good or bad experience with Authorize.Net or if someone else had a better suggestion to what we are signing up for. Thanks in advance!

Authorize.net is one of the more well known, if not the most, gateways. From the experiences I've had with them, I've never had a problem. What I would suggest is to speak to a lawyer regarding the contract, especially if you don't understand half of it. A lawyer will be able to explain to you the contract in its entirety.

Authorize.Net is the most well-known and popular payment gateway available. Naturally they wouldn't be this way if they weren't very reliable. I would tell BankCard USA to put away their paperwork and just give you a regular Authorize.Net gateway. Authorize.Net does not have a contract to sign so you are not locked in so if their paperwork is trying to lock you in tell them to jump of a cliff.
