supposed i wanted to sell on my siet a tshirt with the ferrari logo, or a picture of Mr T- would i be allowed?
or does this impinge on copyright law?

Many people sell and smoke crack in the alleys. That doesn't make it legal.

Yes, you'd be in violation of some trademark law. Check with the entity that you wish to use their likeness for their regulations.

Violating a trademark can be a lot more serious than violating a copyright, by the way. Companies don't take people bypassing the licensing and marketing lightly, and if they see a product affiliation they believe defames the company image in any way they will send an army of attorneys at you. Most companies like Ferrari will have a branding and licensing mechanism. Find them, sign the agreement, pay them and you're good to go.
