is there a reason you need a 3rd party processor?

You really did not provide enough information unfortunately. But if 2CO supports you & your country, use them. Ikobo has way too many problems & should not be for for ecommerce

2CheckOut has been reliable for me to date. We don't use PayPal anymore for various reasons, but PayPal is cheap and it works well.

Many of the clients we work with use 2checkout and Verisign's PayFlow Pro. These are very secure and reliable.

Well 2CO is actually a third party processor & you need to use their own gateway to capture & process credit card data.

Verisign's PayFlow Pro is actually an electronic payment gateway to be used with a merchant account porvider (MAP)

2Co is a very good option if you're in the business since last year for example. It's great for start-ups.

I have experience with both Ikobo and 2CO. The last one was better from my point of view because in the long run they have a better customer support and less problems than iKobo.

But I would suggest getting a real merchant account, LinkPoint is a good choice as someone suggested. Just google a bit around for Card Service International and you might find your answer.

Why do you guys not use paypal? I have seen a lot of these types of posts, but so many people use paypal. They also offer tools on their site to make it look like a normal ordering page you might see at amazon.com for example (instead of always making the user manually make an account and do send money). The users don't even need an account. If you know delphi, and my advice was helpful, please consider answering my post at: http://forums.devshed.com/t213544/s.html

PayPal is a good option when selling goods. But when it comes to services, such as hosting, support, coding a small or not script etc, a problem arises.

You should check out on PayPal's site their policy regarding buyer/seller protection when services are involved and you'll get a better idea on what I'm trying to say here.

pay pal will always favour the buyer over the seller, unfair for the sellers. so if you're selling digital goods and can not provide a fedex delivery confirmation and the customer moans expect to lose. that sucks as we've had to refund punters who we know have had the goods as our system keeps a note of ip and user agent but pay pal are old fashioned in this sense and don't accept that..

nochex.com is okay for uk credit and debit cards. their apc is lke pp's ipn but every so often will fall over......

i've heard a lot of bad stuf about ikobo

I think 2checkout.com is the better payment processor out of the two, paypal was good for me until i started making larger sales (the tax is horrible) and i end up losing hundreds of pounds a month now!
