Do I have to pay Tax on Online Earnings?
Does anyone know if you are required by law to pay tax on any income earned from Google AdSense (UK) or commission earned from affiliate programs?
If not, why not? ![]() |

In the states it is a matter of locale and amount. As far as Google adsense - I'm not sure the particulars exactly, but if you make more than $650 in a year you fall into 1099 taxation if you are an individual.
If you are selling products online - any tangible (taxable goods) sold within your own state are subject to sales tax. Income tax is all dependant on your registered b usiness type. I think it's always best to consult an accountant - chansces are, if you are making any real money you'll have to pay taxes on it. Find out.
