Do web developers need a contractors license?
Some mentioned to me in the state of California, anyone bidding on a job or using a contract has to have a contractors license.
Wondered if anyone knew if that was true. |

Welcome to Dev Shed. Not sure about how CA does things, but contractors licenses are generally for actual contractors.... like if I wanted to have my house remodeled, I'd call a contractor.. he would need a contractors license (or something similar). Web Designers can do things freelance, or as many call them, independent contractors. You don't need a license to be an independent contractor. |
