Filing business name online

I've seen sites that will file for a business name/DBA, tax id, permits, and licenses for an individual. What are the requirements for an online business? I suppose they vary from state to state. Would it be a bad idea to utilize one of the filing sites? If not, what would be a good site? Thanks.

Thumbs up

Consider Business Filings (www.bizfilings.com). That's who we used and they did a fantastic job for us.

Why pay a middle man?
Go to your local Secretary of State website and you can probably register online - I did.

Pay a middleman for the sake of convenience. Many don't know the steps to get incorporated alone (although it's much cheaper).

Send a message via AIM to HyTekJosh
I had a corporate lawyer and corporate accountant take care of everything for me. Investing in such can provide you assurance later on that everything is being done correctly.
