How to Move Money round the world?

We just begin to do a little business on the web. We got $US100 from Korea and lost $US28 in charges before it even got here and then $AU6 once it was here. Result: $AU89 was all that was left.

We want to send that $US100 on to the USA and it looks like we'll lose that amount again.

There'll be nothing left.

J P Morgan the big rip-off company, our bank tells us. Not that the bank is cheap, they will charge $AU22 for any international transfer.

This is hopeless for small transactions.

What is the way to do small dollar amount business internationally nowadays? The reliable, trustworthy way?

regards

ab

Well, check out www.moneybookers.com or www.paypal.com - the transaction fees are rather low, especially at moneybookers.

Google is also coming up with a Payment Service which will be pretty interesting, you can read about it here

Can you list all the countries that you want?

I remember www.verotel.com because at the time they accepted korean credit cards and japanese JCB, but I haven't used that for a while, so check with them.

paypal would be great if you can get it. People can use only their chequing accounts if they want, and that's real handy with smaller scale clients.

otherwise you'll have to factor in the costs into the sale price!!

good luck
