Ebay, Eharmony, AIM, ubid, etc... all are websites which require to have users sustaining it.
My question is, how do you start a service like this from start? I mean, you obviously cant have a dating service with one member. Thanks for all input! ![]() |

Recognize a need, provide a solution, market it to your target audience.

...or as economists state it, "Find a need and fill it."

Use grassroots marketing
find who your target audience is, use their current tool for communication... if it is a dating site creat 100 or so fake profiles to make it seem like there are already some current memebers...

Know how to position your product for market penetration
and then know how to get those people rolling in with _all_ sorts of advertising/marketing |

Start Services that People Want
A good way to start this type of service is to start services parallel to this which people want more like chat service, sms service, sms messages, latest movie reviews and many like that but with the passage of time eliminate those services and come to their soul business model
