Microsoft Logo requirements question

I tried asking this on Macrovision's forums but they don't seem to be answering, so I will ask it here. I am creating an install using Macrovision InstallShield 11 Professional. My project spec requires me to use the Windows Installer (MSI) Project portion.

The sad thing is that neither the people before me or the current management at my company seemed to care about following the rules in license agreements or whatever. The previous companies I worked for were very strict on following the rules (both Praxair and HealthNow/Blue Cross had to follow government regulations) so that kinda stuck with me even here.

Anyways! In order to use MSI for installations, I have to abide by the Windows Installer and Logo Requirements, which is fine, however the main document for those make many references to the Windows XP Logo Program Requirements.

In order for me to be able to legally use MSI/Windows Installer, does the software also need to abide by the Windows XP Logo Program requirements, even if the application isn't going to use the XP Compatibility Logo?
