music
im setting up a music website its mainly for DJs i was planning on getting some DJs to send in their mixes BUT i havnt heard everysong in the world so i cant be 100% sure if they have used music from somewhere else, is there anyway i can put the onus on them if they have copied music?

basically i dont want an email from a solicitor asking me for loads of money if someone submits a mix using someone elses music, but the only way i can protect myself from this and play their mixes online is to say its not my problem, can this be done?

You can of course get a lawyer to write you up a TOS for your site that your users agee upon. If you delete the offending file if they break the rules then you should be safe.

my site is new i doubt it will earn much anyway

but how much do you have to pay if you play 1 of their songs?

You should look into prepaid legal advice. It's a monthly fee and gets you tons of service. Your age has nothing to do with running a business if you run it right.

true but its the money thing thats the problem
ill just leave the music bit until my site is earnign or if i can get sponsors to help pay for itt hen i can get a solicitor to come up with a contract
