Need a Name! (It's all in a name, right?)
Ok, so we run a not-for-profit internet radio station that accepts material from youth 13-18, and helps teens to produce radio as part of their in-school curriculum. Our current name is the "Kids Internet Radio Project," and we're located at projectkir.org.
But, "kids" is too young... and the name isn't too exciting. We need to keep the "KIR" thing, since there's a lot to lose by switching (google rank, for example). So: We need your help! What are some awesome new names for a youth radio station that would work with the "ProjectKIR" and that could become the new acronym to replace "the Kids' Internet Radio?" ... Please, nothing like "Kick Instigator Rove." But, some cool names and taglines would be helpful... so c'mon, let's get the neo-post-dot-com creativity flowing here => --dave! |

I would break open a dictionary and turn to the K section and start reading. If you don't know what a word means / is, well, there's the definition. Write down some that sound interesting or that might work and toss them around in your head. I believe there are a few words that begin with silent Ks.

To be honest, I'd keep it as ProjectKIR and leave it at that. Many, many companies start out with some name that once had some meaning, but no longer does.
Examples:
There are thousands more that have done similar things. You're free to keep KIR without having to give each letter new meanings. |
