Promoting Your Web Design Business
What kinds of things did you guys do to get the word out that you were available to take on web design?
I have put my site in the web designer directories like "MarketingTool.com" and have also purchased an ad for the online site of my state's largest newspaper. All of the clients I have had, have been via word of mouth and I would like to start finding more outside the realm of people I know. My site was mainly finalized just this last week so I know I need to give it time. However, I need to promote it more and am looking for ideas. Thanks!

Freelancer sites, forums, social networking sites could be way out to track the clients. Offline contact is good way to get work and generate word of mouth.
