i am planning to start a
SMS SERVICE where in i can respond in bound and out bound sms...

TEll me what are the requirements like hardware and software info....


and if any one provides such service please let me know

You might check out Clickatel and BulkSMS. http://www.serverfiles.com/ also has some programs as well.

There's two sides to the coin: 1. Receiving SMS / 2. Sending SMS.

If you expect very, very low volumes or your application is not commercial, you can get this done through a GSM modem and open source gateway code like kannel.

Otherwise, as Corey said, you should look for an sms gateway which can provide you (a) an incoming number (b) affordable coverage for your destination country/s. They will provide you with API documentation through which your application can interact.

Clickatell is the best solution, however there are other companies with lesser prices too..
