Social media marketing tips

Some of the basic social media marketing tips are as under which i would really like to share you all:
1. If you follow more people than are following you, you could harm your Twitter account’s SEO potential..
2.Building an online community? Show your power users that you appreciate their contributions
3.Think of marketing as storytelling, and think of your customers as the characters
4.Stop talking about yourself if you want more retweets
5.. Choose to measure social media metrics that tell you how you’re doing based on why you’re doing social media in the first place
6.Consider the timing of your social media posts – time of day, time of week, and time of year

If you follow more people than are following you, you could harm your Twitter account’s SEO potential. Search engines “trust” those with more Twitter influence, and following many more people than follow you isn’t always an indicator of that.

I would also add smth like choose a social platform according to your needs and your potential, and the field in which your website/company operates, think about the appearance of your company in social media - I mean logo, design, etc. Think of to what extent you want your followers to interact with you - whether to allow commenting on the wall or not, etc. Actually there are plenty of tips out there which may appear helpful.

Facebook
Here is a tip: If you are representing a major consumer product, say, Maxwell House Coffee for example, and you are considering a social media ad campaign, say, on Facebook ...

Do a #$*%&# peer review so you don't end up with 100,000 absolutely true comments telling you "it looks like a pregnancy test kit", another consumer product which you probably don't want consumers to confuse with your own.
