Spreading Financial Wings - Help?

Finding More Work - Making More Money

I know this is probably the quest of most people, but what makes me different is that I am not a beginner. First of all, if this is not the right Board, please move it to the correct Board. Second, I have posted this because I have certain limitations and a standing position with a perspective that may not allow me to see the 'light' most of you wiser professionals can see, therefore I am basically asking for insight, enlightenment and for lack of a better word... 'help'.

Now, here is my concern... I am a Pro Web Designer and have been doing this for many years. I have designed sites for people all over the world and locally in the Caribbean, where I am from. Most of my work comes through referral or simply people contacting us through our web sites. My income is generated from site design, adsense, donations, banner / text ads on our sites and lastly on site computer repairs. However, recently I have become house bound and am now only able to use my computer to make all my income from home.

So, what do I want? I want a way to make either a greater amount of money than I am currently getting or at least a more stable income, something that will enable me to accomplish more of the things I need to do without having to make it a battle. What can I do that I am not doing, keeping in mind that I am house bound? All insight welcomed. Thanks.

Well, don't we all want to make a steady income online? And very few of us do. If you want to make a lot of money, or at least steady money, you're going to have to go into battle, like it or not. It's very hard to make money purely online.

Can you write? If so, check out DevShed's Write for Us or write for suite101.com or something. It may not be nearly enough to live lavishly, but if you're good at it and can crank out many articles each month, you might make enough to eat for the month.

Unfortunately, there's very little opportunity for you like this. I hate to be harsh, but the market is just too saturated. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is difficult, I am hoping that someone who has made it big can tell me how they did it. I know they are out there, I just have to hope they pass by this thread and PM or reply with some dynamic things they have done.

I am not a writer of sorts, only for my own International Community. However if translation is needed, then I may be of better aide, especially with the large Spanish community that is joining the net.
