STOLEN LIVE CHAT ICON - by ------
Hello Everyone,

I was looking on a website, and found:

The "Live Support" is offline, and there is a green icon when you are online. This is AN INDEXCORE REGISTERED icon and can't be used by ------. I suggest that INDEXCORE ICONS are not used as they are violating International Copyright laws.

well you should start with a siese and disist leter to them and give them say two weeks, if its still on then i would take legal action...you might want to note in your letter they have two weeks to remove it or they will face legal action.

if you really have your own "Fraud" department (hehe) perhaps you should get your lawyers on to it rather than post in a forum!

You should have sent in the request for removal and given time for a response
to be made, if you had your own fraud dept the notice would be from a solicitor.

Anyway it was removed and it is being dealt with, information will be
released within 7 days.

The above Fraud Dept would if legal not release information to public viewing without a given time to respond to any correspondences.

just for the sake of it i make 2 strikingly similar online and offline icons (without any text):

Similar - yes (both are 100pixel round circle, comprised of the same color and with a shadow/glow around them). But they are most definitely not the same and therefore no breach of copyright (copyright being the weakest intellectual property right).


Although i suppose you could argue that the red ball image is a breach of the Pokemon trademark
