Summary: free software which can be used in commecial field?
Hi everyone:
At present, I am trying to set up a comany. For lower cost, I would like to use free software (including server,developmet tools, and all kind of software) to build my product. but I am fraid of the risky of infringing the patent of other software vendor. So I would like to suggest that:
let's post up those software which are free and also no patent risky, and I think it would help a lot people like me.

another urgent question: can I use eclipse for commecial product development?

Not sure about eclipse but Star Office is a good tool to start off for spreadsheet, word and presentations.
