Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy

Is it a legal requirement to display your Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy on the website? If it is, do you have to regester your conditions?

don't believe it's required but leaving it out really could cause you problems. I either work them into a contact page or put them on a popup window and a little link in like 8pt somewhere.

I run a local band music site very similar to mp3.com and I need them on the site to say I can do things like delete overly explicit mp3s, edit bios and profiles as needed, and that all content uploaded to my site gives me rights to do whatever I want with related to the site/promotion company. I also have record labels on the site that will get a mailer so I include what information I will submit to various labels and venues. It's really to cover my own *** so I won't look like a jerk when i start doing things and can't get sued when I use a band's image in an ad or something.
