Best way to get more web design clients
My friend told me about this awhile back as he got a lot of new clients when he started doing guest blogs for publications like Smashing Magazine etc. As far as I understand, most web design magazines accept guest bloggers - anyways, I've started doing it recently and had great success with it
Anyone else here who's been dabbling with guest blogging? :-)

So how about posting an example of your so-called guest blogging so we can judge the quality of your writing?

I personally think the best way to get a lot of designing clients is to offer a package. Get yourself a managed server or a small reseller account and offer 2 months free web hosting when they have you design their site and then you can make more money in the long run because you'll have them pay you more after the 2 free months of hosting is up. Now not every client may take this deal so you'll need a back up plan..
Maybe fully design a site and get a extra page or logo coded up for free?/
Be creative make deals / promos no other company / design firm has these days.. Stand out from the other designers. Make your stuff unique.
I think you just need to make an account on Odesk..its best way to get more clients for designing..
Adwords are expensive this days. Fastest and easiest way would probably be joining job portals like Elance and Odesk to get new clients.

what your designs look like
Show them an impressive portfolio. Demonstrate the results you've gotten for others and show them what your designs look like! If it matches the aesthetic that your customer has in mind you nailed the client. The broader the better, it lets them know there's no "style" that you're incapable of imitating/creating.

The best way is to be great at what you do and rely on word of mouth.
Anyone can hack together a site these days...
Learn to build integrated sites that use eloqua and act-on.
Sites aren't just static... they are opportunities to engage. Marketing automation and content management and delivery systems that provide results will get you work...
12year olds are just as good with photoshop and dreamweaver as you'll ever be these days...
Learn what your clients need and build something useful...
Ps... if you have time to blog... well you aren't that good because otherwise you'd be busy...
