website ownership
Does any one know of a book, article or a website that could shed some light on how to divide the ownership or future profits among a group of people who did contribute, in various degrees, in development of a website?

As a businessman, there is no real "manual" for what you ask. Ownership of ANY company is divided up however the owners/creators/whatever see fit! It's entirely dependent on the situation.
It's a matter of fact. Those who contribute more should reap more of the benefits. Likewise, those who contribute, but not as much should get something, but not as much. Assuming this is relating to you and several associates, you guys are the ones who will need to figure it out and come up with something fair and balanced that you all agree upon. Chris

This could get ugly if it's an afterthought. This is something that should be done prior to getting started, if and when possible. It should at least be mentioned that you'll figure it out later and mention the basic, "put in more, get more out" idea.
