RSS= really simple syndication...(there is also another name that the same initials represent but currently escapes me) basically it's an application that uses an xml file to parse news, stories, blog or message board postings etc. that are pushed to end user's desktops etc. RSS feeds can be used in many ways but most commonly to add 3rd party content to web sites etc. WYSIWYG= what you see is what you get (they wish) a program that writes source code for you from a drag and drop interface. common HTML apps are Dreamweaver and Front Page |
