What means resale rights, master resale rights, full rights etc...

I am freelance programmer and making scripts for clients. Some clients want for I give them resell rights, master resale rights etc. What this rights mean? Can I sell this script to anyone except this client, can I made some changes and use this script for myself if I give them full resale right? Where I can read about it.

I'd ask to see the contract they want you to sign. That's the only way to be sure of the specifics of the deal.

As a general rule I wouldn't sell these rights unless (a) I was getting a substantial amount of money, and/or (b) I couldn't see much future use for the script on my part.

For example, if you've written a very useful tool that you can sell to dozens of companies for $1000, I wouldn't sell the rights for $5000. You'll have to examine the specifics of the deal and evaluate your ability to resell the code.

I think the differance is just a marketing person says this is one and this is another. If you are selling scripts you should contact a lawyer about it and be sure to have a contract for those that become a reseller (which ever level or name you decided to use)
