What will be more profitable, Linux Or Windows reselling?

Can you share your views on what reselling services will be more beneficial to start, Linux or Windows?
Why do you think so?

I think Windows reselling service will be more profitable. Linux users are more used do all sort of "free" stuff, and probably easier to make Windows users to pay money.

First off, what services? For now, I'm going to assume hosting as that's the main area that this argument seems to be concerned with.

There is no one answer. Obviously the most profitable will be the one that gives the best return for the amount of outlay that you've had to make. Windows costs more in the outlay thanks ot it's licencing fees, but technical support and system administration for Linux can cost more thanks to it not being a GUI-driven system.

Another thing to think aobut is who will use your services, and what do THEY want to use? There's no point running Windows servers if your customers want Linux systems, and vice-versa.

It ocmes down to you needing to do a lot more research for yourself into your own ideas, business plan, revenue models, etc, and see which you feel is the best. Then, try that and see if it meets your expectations.

in commercial view you should be windows reseller, people already know this and the know how crap is the non original windows program, the question now is compete with other reseller, you should have good promotion strategy before turn on your campaign

Hello,

If you are talking about reselling linux hosting and Windows hosting, there should be almost no difference.

I noticed that most customers are mainly doing simple HTML documents and flash animation. They rarely do programming.

Best regards

If you are simply buying a "reseller account" and planning to make big bucks of webhosting, it is simple, just dont. You will run into craploads of issues and you will most likely buy from an oversold company that will drop you as a client when you use too much resources and then you have to explain to your clients why they are out all their data. If you really want to try in the webhosting business, you need atleast a good VPS, if not a dedicated server.
