all C programmers should read this book
although most of you do not like to admit it, there are a LOT of sloppy programmers out there and their code is just IMPOSSIBLE to read. this book of mine called Practical C++ Programming by Steve Oualline. even though you guys can write code that works, it's a real bitch when people come in here with code where variables have names like k or something just as stupid and the code is as complicated as it can be made just so the author looks smart.
just so we can all understand each other and get on the same page, please read this book or take a computer class or just ANYTHING to learn proper style and you'll be helping out not only yourself but those who work on your code and those who's code is worked on by you.

I would HIGHLY recommend Effective C++ and Code Complete. It's all about style and technique! Oh yeah, baby.
