bitmap programming

im intrested in making a program that will combaine to images in a simple way of taking one pixel from one image and another one from the other image i wan to do this using C

now snice i dont know that muvh about bitmap manipulation i would like to ask for a good paper on the subjet

(downloadable from the internet of course a book on your sheld wont help me much)

You'll need to know the graphics file format. This page might help:
