Right ... but it's C89 even so.
codepad also compiles and runs the code cleanly.

yea thanks man. i figured that line out when i went back and looked at my class notes.

woohoo! only a few more things to do for this assignment.
1. create a new file "filename_out.txt"
2. implement the bubble sort he gave us
3. print the sorted array into the file
