Good intermediate-advanced c++ books. C programming forum discussing all C derivatives, including C#, C++, Object-C, and even plain old vanilla C. These languages are low level languages, and used on projects such as device drivers, compilers, and even whole computer operating systems.

Good intermediate-advanced c++ books.
I took c++ in college for 2 classes and now all of the syntax etc, but im looking for advanced books to teach me more about classes, with coding in linux/cgi

If you guys know of any, thanks

Yes. I had access to a double-sided laser printer so I just had mine coil bound at Kinkos for a few $$$. But you can buy them as well.

For the price (free) it's great. The author, Bruce Eckel (www.mindview.net), makes a living teaching programming seminars so I find his books are good as learning tools.

The Thinking in C++ books deal heavily with Objects, Templates and STL. They're very OOP oriented. Whether this is good or bad depends on the type of programming you're going to be doing.

When I'm traveling, having them as a .pdf file on my laptop is a nice feature.

I really like C++: The Complete Reference. I have the 3rd edition, but Amazon says that little has changed between the 3rd & 4th editions.

About $5 to bind a manuscript with either a wire coil (my favorite) or a plastic one (if it is a really fat book). But this is only a good deal if you have access to a double-sided printer for free. Otherwise you spend so much on toner, paper, extra bindings because the book is so large being printed single-sided, etc. that it just makes more sense to buy the books.
