I am looking for a Windows API set or a project that is freeware to commnicate with a Hayes GSM Modem, I'm wanting to send SMS messages using it. ( The modem will either be PCI/ USB/ PCMCIA).

If you're using Delphi or C++ Builder, try out the components from Turbo Power Software. They make some of the best communication components out there. (DISCLAIMIER: I have no affiliations with them ). Recently, they announced that they were releasing their components as open source and putting them on sourceforge. Hope this helps!
