Migration of Taskmate Language to ???

Hi All,

I would like to know if anyone of you have ever faced such issues and can help me.

I have an application which uses taskmate and C++ together. now, Taskmate is to be retired/removed and we are thinking of a possible solution to migrate taskmate workflows(code written) into another language or if we can use an emulator or if there is a tool to which can convert workflows not 100% but near to it in another language (similar to Microsoft tool for conversion of VB 6 to VB DOTNET).

Please provide some insights.

No idea what 'taskmate' is and Google was no help. If management has decided to do away with supporting the language but isn't interested in supporting the migration then you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. On the other hand, if they are willing to support migration (with bucks, of course, not just soothing words) then now is the perfect time to do a re-analysis of what the product is actually offering and re-architecting the solution to reflect current realities. There is generally very little value in an automated conversion of legacy code. You always get changes in behavior and I can flat out guarantee you that no one will be able to maintain the mess so generated. Way better to come up with a totally new design and re-solve the old problems with new tools.

But the name seems to refer to a number of products. That one seems most likely. However to assist one would probably need a reference manual, and I can find nothing.

The language (and the reference manual) are mentioned in this patent. It states:
