Sockets in C - can someone help please?

Discuss Sockets in C - can someone help please? in the C Programming forum on Dev Shed.
Sockets in C - can someone help please? C programming forum discussing all C derivatives, including C#, C++, Object-C, and even plain old vanilla C. These languages are low level languages, and used on projects such as device drivers, compilers, and even whole computer operating systems.

Question Sockets in C - can someone help please?
Hi

Basically what I am after is a simple 'chat' program written using C sockets. Given the fact that I have very little experience of C, let alone sockets, it's not something that I can do myself in a realistic amount of time .

Can anyone helps please?

Erm.. thanks but the thing I was trying to get across is that I do not know my arse from my elbow in C, let alone sockets in C.

Erm... perhaps you should learn. If you don't know C, what difference does the language make? Why not Java or C++? Do you have specific requirements that you have to meet? If not, then language is irrelevant because you won't undestand the code anyway.

Anyhow, did you even try searching google.com? How about hotscripts.com? codeproject.com? codeguru.com? ...
