500 There is no web application configured to service your request
Hi
I am using coldfusion mx 7.0 (trail version). I am able to start the 3 different servers ie 1) admin 2) coldfusion 3) samples. but I am able to access the admin and samples. But if try to access the coldfusion server it give the following error 500 There is no web application configured to service your request There is no web application configured to service your request I searched on net error 500 meant the following 500 - Internal Error Explanation The server was unable to send the HTML document, due to an internal (server software) error. An improperly configured server causes this. Solution Contact the site's administrators and tell them to fix it But how do I debug this. I searched on net go another suggestion that I should enable the Http friendly messages in Internet explorer. No still I could not debug it. Plz do give some suggestions. Thanks in advance. Should I re-install the coldfusion? Any body help me on this issue Naveen |

Can you confirm that the Coldfusion instance is actually running (check the services applet or the JRun administrator)?
The only time I've ever seen this happen is when the server is being restarted and hasn't fully initialized yet. If the service is running then you may indeed want to reinstall.

Hi
Ya all the three servers(using trail version) are running in JRun Launcher. I am able to access the samples one. But if I try to access the coldfusion one it gives the 500 error. One more question I would like to ask. I am trying to access the admin console. But it is not talking the password I had given during installation. It is giving invalid password, same prb with my colleague also(invalid password). Plz help me in this, stuck with this for a long time. Regards Naveen |

Unfortunately, can't really help. I've installed CF many times (from version 4 through 7) and never had any problems. Installation problems are always very tricky, and the easiest solution is usually to uninstall, delete everything, and try again.
