A way to help Katrinia Families.

I would like to help those in the path of Katrinia, but I don't make much money. I will send what I can, but I thought Hey I can do more.

How about making a website where families who somehow got seperated by Katrinia can go and either search the website for their family names or enter their name so people can search for them.

I think I would need a database and some kind of scripting like coldfusion to put this together. would any of you like to help? I am willing to buy the domain and find a host.

What do you guys think? if we send the site to news once we get the site up and running I bet we could be of use. It would be worth it if we helped even on family.

I was thinking a main page, a form page to enter your information, and a search page. The search page would pull the list of names people have entered their information like first name, last name, location of where they are now, their location of where they came from incase of duplicate names, and a phone number people can leave a message for them at. or an email address.

the database would have to include everything in the search page, and the form page would need to be able to write the information to the database.

is there anything else I am missing? it has been years since I did anything like this in coldfusion, so if anyone can help me out on this I would appriciate it.

Should I do it too?

you can do it but where would you get peoples names from?? i would let the red cross do it.
