access xp images and coldfusion

I have a question regarding displaying images on a page that are stored in an access database... Having a few problems... I originally tried storing the images as ole objects however am now storing the path as a text field. I query the field and use the resulting variable in the src of the img I wish to display.. This causes my site to crash or creates an error... Any suggestions??
