Cool Calling all you Cold Fusion Experts

Hi

I'm creating a multimedia database system using cold fusion for my MSc project. The project aims to explore retrieval issues involved with multimedia data. For example, A user should be able to query the database for images, videos, and audio all at the same time or individually.

But the tricky part of the project is having a query of mixed media style rather than a textual query. For example, here is a picture of Al Pacino, find me all the video clips associated with him. Another query can be Find me video performances where they play something like this... etc. Therefore the user should be able to select an image, video or audio clip and find related data. This is all to do with how this data is indexed.

I would be very grateful if you guys could offer me any hints at all for me to successfully complete this task. If you need more info, just let me know.

Thanks

if i nderstand what your talking a bout. you dont need to be an expert. all you need to do is

say your looking at a pict of bob. remember some how that the user is looking at a pict of bob. then have it have a link to find vids of bob. then you just need to qury the vid data bace with the request for all vids that have to do with bob.

now if i misunder stud you pleals tell me. i am bad at understanding what i read.
