CF and ASP running Simultaneously

can you run CF server on an IIS server and have CF pages process as well as ASP pages or ASP.net pages?

Yes, but not within the same request I believe. All the server does is set up mappings to know how to handle files with different extensions. You call a .cfm page and CF runs. You all an .aspx page and .NET runs. Simple as that.

You can call the asp page in cfm via the cfhttp tag and use the results set -
