lol kite, i forgot about that part of MM. Nevermind. When I though about the functionality of the site I was just thinking in terms of the info on the products, the updates and the tutorials they post. Forgot about the store and other stuff. See your point. And you are sure it is PURE CF. There is not an ounce of Java?? Anyways, am I right about CF having great built-in search capabilities?

Macromedia eats its own dog food, and with few exceptions (for legacy stuff) the entire site is CF.

And yes, CF comes with Verity and Verity K2, which are excellent search systems. Oh and it also comes with charting and graphing systems, Flash remoting, and more. And Blackstone will have automatic PDF generation, automatic generation of Flash form elements, a built in report system that puts CrystalReports to shame, and an event gateway that allows CF to listen on any port and respond to any type of request (think file sharing, Telnet, SFTP, whatever...).

Just get the developer edition today and start playing. That way when Blackstone comes out all you need to do is play with the new stuff.

alright, can't thank you enough kiteless. Lucky I already know Java so I think CF will be a sinch. With two combned languages, one essentially HTML allowing you to do standard hings quick, and the other the most powerful language (some will argue) to do the advanced stuff. What could be wrong? I just don't understand why CF isn't more mainstream. It seems like a joy to code in. Gonna go get the dev kit now. Thanks again kite!
