Opening CFM docs locally in Firefox

I have an application that I developed and tested on a remote Coldfusion web server and it is running fine.

I have now migrated the application to a Coldfusion server that is remote, but not a web server. I am having trouble opening my cfm files in a browser on that server. Can someone give me some advice here? I get a message asking if I want to SAVE the cfm page instead of opening it. I need to open and run the page.

The application was originally designed by another programmer to be run as a web application, but now will not be used via the web. Only via this remote server on an internal connection so local users need to be able to launch the (web) application on this server locally.

It sounds like the CF server has not been configured to work with the web server. Unless you hook the two together, the web server has no idea that CF should be asked to process the page, so it treats the .cfm file as an unknown file type.
