Question CFMX 7.0 installation

I just installed the CF 7.0 and tried to launch the administrator page. I get this error message

http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Open the 127.0.0.1 home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Click Search to look for information on the Internet.
You can also see a list of related sites.

First, go to your IE options and turn off "display friendly http error messages" so that IE will show you what the real error is.

That said, I installed the final release of CFMX 7 on Monday and it works fine, so I don't know what the problem might be.

The trial version is free. It works for 30 days and then reverts to developer mode where only 2 IP addresses can hit the server. Pricing for the retail versions is available at macromedia.com.

sounds like your web server is confused somewhere. you didn't install cf as standalone did you? maybe you are hitting the server on the wrong port or something?

it's the developer edition so it uses it own built in server.

Again, I am using the built-in web server using both standalone CF 7 and J2EE/JRun CF 7 and they both work fine. I would try reinstalling.
