Unhappy CFMX Installation Error 1314 - Begging for help!!

Had the CFMX Developer edition running on Windows 2003 Server. Trying to install the CFMX Enterprise edition, but during the set up CFMX doesn't detect IIS and an error occurs where it says it can't find C:\inetpub\wwwroot - what returns is C:\ which, of course, is invalid. Attempting to change the destination brings up the Error 1314, then installation stops.

If anyone can provide any insight as to why this is happening, I'd appreciate it very much.

thanks!

Did you uninstall the old version of CFMX before running the upgrade? You might try that. I've never heard of this error so I can't really help. Macromedia does offer free installation support, assuming that this is a licensed copy of Enterprise edition.

Yep - uninstalled every piece of CFMX there was.

The free MM installation support ... do you know how responsive they are to that? Do you know if it will it take days to get a response?

Thank you for your replies, kiteless.

I think they are pretty responsive. If you are in urgent need you could try calling them rather than email.

I should note that I've installed CFMX 6.1 Enterprise numerous times with IIS and never had a problem.
